Al Whittaker, Associate Pastor

In grade school, Al was the go-to guy to run the film projector. In high-school, his friends were in the band and he needed something to do - so he learned his way around a sound board.  In college, he edited self-made films. When he moved to Philadelphia, he worked for a Fortune 500 company producing endless radio and TV commercials and mind-numbing corporate videos.

An unlikely candidate for Associate Pastor, Al is still amazed that God chooses to use him.  He is on a journey that could only be orchestrated by God, and Al is reminded daily of the grace and gifts that God has given him.  He spends his days – and plenty of his nights – dreaming up new and different ways to create environments where believers will come to worship and unbelievers will come to believe.

He counts his family among his greatest gifts. His wife Tammy is his best friend and biggest supporter. His daughters Hannah and Leah have helped him learn what’s important in life - the color pink and all things “princess.”

A connoisseur of fine buffalo wings, Al enjoys diet coke and cake (actually, the frosting).  He is amused by getting a deal on ebay, stalking people on Facebook, and finding a new app for his Droid.   When he disconnects from the digital world, he can be found wearing a tool-belt, building or renovating something around the house.
