Women's Ministry

Our passionate ambition is for women to connect and encourage one another.

There's an old nursery school poem that says, "Sugar and spice and everything nice, that's what little girls are made of "....Although this may be true, something should be written about the little girls who grew up to be women.

The kind of women who laugh uncontrollably, cry for no reason, pray passionately and share about the God they have come to love.

We're talking about:

  • The Optimists
  • The Realists
  • The Searching
  • The Heartbroken
  • The Hopeful
  • The Wounded
  • The Lonely
  • The Passionate
  • The Healed

WHAT IS A PACESETTER?

Acts 20:24 says, "However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace."

A pacesetter is another woman who runs alongside you through prayer and encouragement to keep you running toward Jesus. Our prayer is that within the Women's Ministry, you find other ladies to inspire you to never give up. Or to give in. We also pray that you be the kind of friend who inspires and sets the pace for other girls to continue running toward Him.

OUR GOAL:

Our goal is to connect and encourage women through various events.

The Storehouse Women's Ministry is a safe place to share your burdens, praises and even the questions that have kept you wrestling with God.

Each season (or semester) we hold a different event. As a group, we've trained and ran the Broad Street Race, hosted tea parties, dived heart-first into Beth Moore Bible studies and attended women's conferences/retreats such as Women of Faith and Beth Moore (coming Sept. 2011)

OUR HEARTBEAT:

No matter what road brought you to this place in life, we're convinced you'll find Jesus to be more loving and more forgiving than you've ever known. Our heart is for God to give us greater faith to believe Philippians 1:6, "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus". May He open our eyes, just as He did with Hagar in Genesis 21:19, "Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water"...so that we may drink and LIVE LIFE AS HE DREAMED FOR US TO LIVE! (Jeremiah 29:11)
